A Place of Rest-Backyard Retreat Space 

You are invited to A Place of Rest…spend a few hours or a day of quiet in my backyard space.  My semi-private backyard is located right outside Lancaster City, PA-East side in a usually quiet residential neighborhood. Hummingbirds and other birds regularly visit, the wind rustles through the leaves of the big maple trees, and the occasional crow of a rooster can be heard. The flower beds are a never-ending source of joy and weeds! Shade is abundant while the sun peeks through the openings between the trees. The front porch is covered in the event of light rain. Swings, a glider, a unique bench seat, a hammock and a zero-gravity lounge chair give you plenty of options for your reading, relaxing, resting and praying.

While there is no cost for your stay, donations are appreciated.

At least a day’s notice is appreciated so that we can sweep away the plethora of cobwebs that appear overnight and prepare for your arrival.

Electricity and/or a heated throw is available upon request.

A firepit and wood for you to build a fire ($10 with prior notification)

Spiritual Direction during your time may be available (prior notification is needed) $40
